Rebranding & Website for Ocean Technology Company

Aquatec Group, a renowned pioneer in ocean technology, has been at the forefront of underwater measurement, monitoring, & communication solutions for over 30 years. The business has grown into a global leader recognised for its excellence & innovation within scientific circles, however, Aquatec’s brand identity had not kept pace with its industry-leading status.

Making Waves

The company recognised the need for a brand overhaul that would better reflect its pioneering spirit, human ingenuity, deep expertise, & commitment to the marine environment.

Fable&Co. set out to create a cohesive & compelling brand identity that encapsulated Aquatec’s trailblazing nature & unmatched expertise in ocean technology.

We utilised a suite of dynamic 3D graphics that abstractly represented key focus areas & fields of specialism for the business, including tidal movements, ocean depth, seabed, & marine life.

The colour palette looked to convey a sense of professionalism & modernity – predominantly using deep blues & oceanic tones to symbolise the depth of the sea & the precision of the technology.

Clean whites & light blues are employed to communicate clarity, precision, & trustworthiness. Additionally, darker, muted tones help reinforce the company’s focus on underwater environments & advanced monitoring systems.

Messaging & Imagery

Not only were their products ensuring accuracy & precision in recording, it was facilitating discovery & innovation – empowering scientists & businesses to dive deeper, capture reliable data & expedite progress.

Aquatec’s team consisted of prolific scientists & engineers, relentless in their pursuit of technical excellence – & this needed to be reflected in the overarching brand messaging. The tone of voice is confident, authoritative, & professional, emphasising expertise & dedication. It looks to highlight the team’s high level of skill & determination, projecting an image of technical superiority & innovation.

Imagery was centred around underwater technology & marine environments. It includes clean, modern visuals featuring subsea equipment, marine life, & oceanic landscapes, emphasising their focus on monitoring & protecting underwater ecosystems. It was important to convey a sense of innovation & discovery, balanced with an element of humanity & real-world application.

The Online Experience

The website features a clean, minimalist design that prioritises user-friendly navigation while communicating expertise, reliability, & innovation.

Its professional, technical aesthetic is enhanced by imagery of advanced instruments in real-world ocean environments. The use of oceanic blues & technical greys fosters a sense of trust & precision, while subtle animations & transitions add a dynamic, rewarding experience as users explore the site.

 

Key events & milestones are highlighted to reinforce the brand’s technical credibility, whilst special attention was given to product hierarchy & clear call to actions to enable efficient information discovery & encourage the user to make contact.
